Making sense of the world through paint, ink, and light — one canvas at a time.

About the Artist
Alex Morrow is a multidisciplinary artist working across acrylic, oil, ink, and digital media. Rooted in classical training yet drawn to experimental process, their work occupies the charged space between intention and accident.
After graduating from the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Alex spent three years in residency programs across Europe and Japan, absorbing influences that now surface in a practice that moves fluidly between figuration and abstraction.
Solo exhibitions have appeared in Portland, San Francisco, and Berlin. Work is held in private collections across North America and Europe.
Portfolio
A curated selection of series spanning over a decade of practice.
A series exploring the tension between chaos and stillness through layered acrylic pours and gestural brushwork on large-format canvas.
Oil paintings of city streets at night — neon reflections on wet pavement, solitary figures under lamp-lit awnings, the poetry of the late-hour city.
A hybrid series combining hand-drawn botanical illustration with digital glitch techniques — nature interrupted, rendered in precise linework and algorithmic distortion.
A collection of expressive ink portraits capturing raw emotion. Each piece rendered with bamboo brush and sumi ink on handmade washi paper.

Artist Statement
"I am drawn to moments of threshold — where one thing becomes another. Paint drying on canvas, a city at 3 a.m., the precise instant before understanding arrives. These are my materials as much as any pigment."
